Apple merelease Firmware demi firmware ( Firmware 1.0 – akan datang firmware 4.0  Juni 2010) untuk meningkatkan fitur-fitur baru. Akibatnya setiap user yang secara tidak sengaja maupun sengaja mengupdate firmware baru, akhir perangkat (device ) tidak bisa berfungsi sebagaimana mestinya dan harus di jailbreak / unlock ulang. contohnya Pada kasus jailbreak firmware 3.1.3 sekarang ini, banyak yang menunggu realisasi software unlock dan jailbreak iPhone dan iPod. Jailbreak memang sangat menguntungkan dan membuat perangkat iPod, iPhone, iPad menjadi Power full daripada defaultnya. Dan sisi buruknya adalah  Garansi resmi tidak berlaku dari apple, dan bisa membuat perangkat anda MATOL (mati total)…. jangan takut ya… kalau banyak uang kan bisa beli lagi…. he he he :) . Dan oleh sebab itu, Anda harus memikirkan matang-matang nasib perangkat anda. Ya atau Tidak ??? ( kayak lagu Iwan Fals aja). Saya berharap jangan takut… karena saya belum pernah dapat kasus Matol  pada proses jailbreak.

Banyaknya software untuk unlock dan jailbreak iPhone, iPod, iPad terkadang membuat kita bingung, apalagi pencarian di embah Google , Banyak site-site yang memberikan informasi-informasi yang simpang siur dan ngga jelas juntrungannya oper sana oper sini. You should Know the differences between blackra1n and Redsn0w

*It uses our original Pwnage bootrom exploit for iPhone 2G, iPhone 3G, and iPod 1G. (Because it’s a bootrom exploit, it can’t be fixed by Apple without a new hardware release.) Note that redsn0w 0.9 does use the USB exploit for iPhone 3GS and iPod 2G running 3.1.2, but that exploit will be fixed in Apple’s next FW release.
